The wait time on the weekends can exceed 90 minutes and the portions of dumplings (from when I remembered to be $3-$4) have skyrocketed to $6-$7 for some dumplings and rice noodles drenched in sweet soy sauce. This location has much less seating and those who used to frequent the Chinatown location have migrated uptown to satisfy their dim-sum fix. But to fully close your doors? Where else was I supposed to go? I wasn't a fan of it when they eventually brought in the mimosa carts in the early 2010s, but it was okay.I accepted it. I miss the spacious banquet hall space that was JF. I've been going to Jing Fong's Chinatown location ever since I moved to NYC in 2008. This location is like its uptown sister- a lot smaller and pricier. I'm sure it was the pandemic that led to the Chinatown location to close. Gone are the days that I used to turn to Jing Fong for my weekend dim-sum fix. ![]()
